Why Should You Invest in Biomisting Services?

Slowing the spread of the coronavirus is on the top of everyone’s priority list with businesses in South Wales. As a nation, businesses are stepping up their cleaning schedule, their cleaning frequency and investing in Biomisting where this superior infection control service offers longer protection.Regular cleaning and deep cleaning sometimes isn’t enough to keep the Coronavirus and several other germs, bugs and bacteria’s at bay and so more innovative techniques and equipment needs to be brought in (aka the big guns). With the uncertain times and allot of fear out there for our clients their staff and their customers A&R Cleaning Services stepped up and invested in a Biomisting Services, which has proved popular with many businesses based in South Wales (Do you remember the office block in Cardiff with the suspected case of Coronavirus? We successfully cleaned that!).

So why should you invest in Biomisting Services?

Although regular cleaning and deep cleaning are effective ways to help prevent the Coronavirus infecting your business, Biomisting gives your businesses that added level of infection control and offers high levels of biosecurity.Biomisting works by spraying a very fine mist of biocidal cleaner and disinfectant working our way through each area of your premises. This ensures that all areas including hard to reach areas such as high ceilings, tall walls, ledges and even untouched areas are covered with a reactive Steri-7 chemical. Once the biocidal mist settles onto surfaces it is left to dry and once dry, the disinfectant takes effect killing 99.9999% of bacteria, spores and viruses living on surfaces. Steri-7 philosophy is Break Treat Prevent.Bacteria and viruses like to reproduce and spread in the presence of moisture so, even when the biocidal cleaning chemical dries and kills the bacteria that was living on surfaces it still remains active, reacting to the presence of any moisture (even microscopic). And even after spraying when moisture is present the disinfectant used continues to kill bacteria and viruses for up to 7 days on all sprayed surfaces.Giving businesses full Biosecurity and protection against bacteria and viruses.

How often should I have Biomisting done?

Biomisting can be done as a one-off service. However, we recommend businesses that they regularly have biomists once a week not only to maintain Biosecurity between regular cleans but to also show their staff and their clients they have their welfare at the forefront of their mind.

What are the steps and how long does it take?

Cleaning and sanitising are two different things. Cleaning removes any ingrained dirt, fats and removes unwanted substances whereas sanitising is spraying, leaving your product for the correct contact time then wiping killing 99.999% of germs, bugs, and viruses. We only offer our Biomisting in a minimum 2 stage process. We won’t Biomist if we haven’t cleaned first. This is because we fully sanitise a room or area by hand to ensure that there is no dirt or debris on surfaces. Then we biomist the room or area with our Biomister and when that is complete you can return around half-hour – causing minimal disruption to your staff and business.

Can it be used with any disinfectant?

Although it can spray a fine mist of disinfectant within a room or area, we use the Steri-7 disinfectant with our Biomisting machines. The Steri-7 disinfectant that we use with our Biomisters carries the BE EN 13697 (under ‘Dirty’ test conditions) and has seen it effectively kills bacteria and viruses when surfaces are rested 30 minutes, 60 minutes and even 72 hours later. Meaning that even between your regular cleans our product remains to be an effective barrier. We can provide effective Biomisting services to businesses across Wales and the Southwest of England.
